EUROCLIO – European Association of History Educators, the Spanish Association of History and Geography Teachers (AEPHG) and the Basque Network of Schools (Ikastolen Elkartea) are delighted to invite history, heritage and citizenship educators to their upcoming Annual Conference & Professional Development and Training Course.

The conference promises to become an event full of sharing, training, networking, and dialogue among history, heritage and citizenship educators from all over the world.


The conference will be built around several key themes to reflect on the prospects and challenges posed by the conference theme “Intersections: How can History Education Change Today?” through a close look at the INTERSECTIONS of past & present, and local & global perspectives. This thematic question is motivated by current social and political challenges Europe and the rest of the world is facing and questions the role of history education. Does it need to change? Can it change? Will it change?
