Dear EUROCLIO Members and Teachers,

In the framework of the Education Programme for Intercultural Citizenship in the EuroMed Region, the III Alexandria Education Convention is being organised. The Convention will take place from 7 - 11 June 2014 at the Swedish Institute in Alexandria, Egypt.

The purpose of the III Education Convention is to gather the feedback of educators on the draft contents of the Handbook on Intercultural Citizenship Education in the EuroMed Region before its publication at the end of 2014. Together with the authors of the book, we will ensure that it can be a useful tool for educators' practice.

Only 20 participants can join this convention! We are looking for participants who:

· Are active in the field of formal or non-formal education;

· Have developed resources and/or training schemes in the field of intercultural and citizenship education;

· Are motivated to actively participate in the discussions and propose activities, case-stories and exercises to be integrated in the Handbook or the online portal;

· Have a working level of English

· Willing to act as multipliers of the Intercultural Citizenship Programme and cooperate with the ALF in the dissemination of the work.

How to apply?

  1. Download the online application form
  2. Search the Head of Networks of your country here
  3. Fill in the application form and send it before 9th of May to your Head of Networks
  4. The Head of Networks will select your application and settle arrangements with the Secretariat in Alexandria

All costs (including visa, travel, hotel, and meals) will be covered directly by the ALF and the Swedish Institute in Alexandria.
